A Quiet Day in Twillingate

Some household tasks today, namely laundry.  That taken care of we head off to the lighthouse and the hike there.

It is only a three mile drive, but steadily uphill.  Les is looking at it through a cyclist's eye. Major hills. He informs me he biked this route yesterday not once but twice.  I am impressed but worried.
As we get out at the lighthouse, the blustery cold wind hits and the hike will have to be at least postponed.

The lighthouse had a nice exhibit on boat building.

Les takes the tour of the tower; I gently decline.

As usual there is an iceberg far in the distance.

Will this be the only iceberg we see close up?

In the evening we go to the dinner theater.  Wonderful lobster dinner and then a local show.  Again songs of Newfoundland.  But this time there were a number of skits, quite funny and clever.  We sit at a table with two couples, related.  One from British Columbia and one from Manitoba.  Welcome home!  Manitoba is the home of our rv, Button.  They are well aware of the company.  They say,  Weren't you at the Split Pea show last night?  They remember seeing us getting into our rv after the show and had commented to us how nice it is.  They both have rvs, but have flown here to travel as they only have two weeks. We asked them what on for tomorrow night?   We might go to the show at the Anchor Inn and will probably see them there!  We do keep running into the same people.
