Here we are again in Canada for Canada Day, third year in a row. Newfoundland also has a memorial day in the morning, to commemorate the Battle of Beaumont-Hamel during World War I, in France. The Newfoundlanders suffered huge casualties. There was a sunrise ceremony on Signal Hill. Sunrise here is 5 AM.
Then it is on to parades and family celebrations.
This parade is along Water Street, the main shopping street.
We stopped at Rocket Bakery.
Back up to Signal Hill and a tattoo.
A fitting celebrant.....a Newfie dog.
We heard the fireworks at 10 PM in our snug Rv.
