Shackleton, Perry, Scott and us... in search of

Word was going around that there were icebergs to be found.  Now we had seen a few on the horizon.  But these were really too far to see..  Intrepid explorers, we, set off.  We are driving to Springdale.  We found the campground, checked in and promptly left to drive into town.  We did see two  small ones in the harbor.

But some people walking by suggested we go to a nearly town, King's Point.  The young man at the campground had told us of that too, along with another spot, Nicky's Nose ( yes that is really the name of the little village.)

And icebergs we did find.  Fantastic.

We saw some kayakers venturing nearer.

Even saw some little remnants.

And on the way back, a moose... standing right in the road.  Our memories will have to be used as we had no time for photos.

The explorers were successful.

This campground draws fisherman.  It is a heavenly place to fly fish for salmon.  And the fisherpersons were there in droves.

Slept to pouring rain.  We never have to wash the windshield or clean off bugs.
