Getting around St. John's

We are still in St.  John's, enjoying all the special places in this town.  Ten years ago the province built The Rooms.  It is a combination art gallery, provincial museum and architectural wonder.  I need to also mention a great restaurant for lunch.  It is not an art museum; rather it has exhibitions.  The museum part highlights animals of the area and another area is history of life on the island.  No photos permitted.  But where did they get that stuffed polar bear, black bear and HUGE squid?  Enjoyed very much.

Then onto another wonder of the province: the Quidi Vidi Brewery.  This beer is only sold on the island.  I think I was expecting the Budweiser Brewery so as we were driving through small streets I thought we must be lost.  But then appeared a small building along water.  We joined about 30 others for the beer tasting.  Well, not WE.

This is the beer tasting room.

Their fame:  made with water from icebergs.
